Calvary Bible Institute Luzon Now Offers Online Classes

CBI Luzon Philippines is now offering Online Classes for this school year 2026 enabling people who wants to study and be trained in the word of God despite challenges like distance and other reasons.

CBI Luzon’s classes will be streamed live in a dedicated online classroom for those who registered to be part of the program.

What is CBI LUZON ONLINE?

We in Calvary Bible Institute Luzon wants everybody to have a chance to study God’s words. So we are offering online courses so the people who cannot attend the classes in-person can take it in the comfort of their own homes.

How can I join the classes?

You can signup by sending us a message in our Facebook page containing your name, phone number, email address and church affiliation to signup.

When are the classes held?

Classes are held from January to November, Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM Philippine Standard Time (GMT +8). All classes our live, and all students must be present in all live classes.

How do the classes work?

Classes are held live online on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Philippine Standard Time (GMT +8).

Which classes are offered online?

All Classes are gonna be ONLINE! Specific Classes will be announced in our designated class group chat before that class will start. Some example of it are classes like Evangelism, Discipleship, Verse by verse study of the Bible, and many others.

What are the requirements?

Online students are required to do all the academic and ministry requirements of a regular student albeit remotely. The academic curriculum includes a verse by verse study of the Bible taught by godly and seasoned Calvary Chapel pastors. Other classes include Evangelism, Discipleship, Church Planting, Inductive Bible Study, etc. Online students will also be required, just like the regular students, to regularly evangelize, do one on one and small group discipleship, and be involved in a church plant in order to graduate.

How can You Take Part?

Taking part is easy! People wanting to apply must fill out CBI Luzon’s enrollment form and fulfill the requirements listed on the website. After registering, you can then visit the CBI Luzon On-line’s info page to see the other requirements before going and messaging the CBI Luzon Facebook Page.

What a blessing it was to gather with fellow leaders and servants of the Lord for a day of sharpening at our Pastoral Counseling Seminar last July 18, 2025.

Led by Pastor Art Esmalla, one of our faithful 222 CMN church planters and trainers, this seminar offered rich, Spirit-filled guidance on how to care for the flock—especially in these challenging times.

I was deeply encouraged to see how the Lord is raising up men who not only preach the Word but also carry the heart of a shepherd. As Pastor Art shared, counseling isn’t just about offering advice—it’s about applying the gospel to real lives, real pain, and real situations.

Our desire through 222CMN has always been clear:

Multiplying disciples by multiplying churches.
Multiplying churches by multiplying trainings.
Multiplying trainings by multiplying mentors of church planters.

This seminar is part of that mission. It’s not just a one-time event—it’s part of the ripple effect we’re praying for. That every church planter would become a trainer. That every trainer would raise up more.

TRAINING CENTER BUILDING

With the help of our ministry partners like you, our Training Center building above is practically finished including landscaping.  Only a few minor details such as cabinetry and additional furnishings such as beds and chairs are needed.  With our Center finally completed, we can now focus on multiplying churches thru training church planters throughout the country and beyond by the grace of God!

CHURCH MULTIPLICATION

It seems like God is allowing 222 Church Multiplication Network (CMN) to partner with like-minded ministries within the Philippines and around the world.  Recently, I have been invited as one of the speakers in the Annual Church Multiplication Summit sponsored by the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC), an umbrella fellowship of all evangelical churches in the Philippines.  PCEC has a vision to see 120,000 churches in the Philippines by 2020 and our network aims to contribute 200 new churches toward this vision.  222CMN has also partnered with other Christian ministries with a vision for church multiplication including:

    Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI): 5 million churches
    Jonathan Project: 1 million churches
    Alpha Ministries: 100 thousand churches

CALVARY CHAPEL TAGAYTAY CITY

​We had our second youth camp at a beautiful resort with 27 teens from Tagaytay and Talisay.  Every single one professed to receive Christ during the camp with 12 following Christ’s command to be baptized!

CALVARY CHAPEL TALISAY

Thanks to your prayers for a resident pastor for the church in Talisay, God has so powerfully answered in the person of pastor Dan Aguilan! Dan gave up everything dear to him in order to heed God’s call to become the pastor of the Calvary Chapel Talisay. He had to say goodbye to the church he had been pastoring and which his parents helped establish when he was still a young boy. He also had to say goodbye to all the pastors who have mentored him as well as to their fellowship of churches. Besides leading the church in Talisay, Dan will also assist me in the church in Tagaytay until God provides another pastor to help there. Dan has also been serving as the program director for all the trainings we conduct. Thanks be to God Who provides all our needs!

We are praying about moving CCT to highway so that more people would be able to come to our services.  Please help us pray for this.

BABY SARAH GRACE

Thank you to all who prayed for the safe delivery of Sarah Grace; born February 8, 2019!  Thank You Lord for every person You used in our rescue team to save baby Sarah from being aborted by her natural parents.  May You help her to grow in the fear and knowledge of You and to serve You all the days of her life!

222 CHURCH PLANTING SCHOOL 2ND BATCH OF TRAINEES

To God alone be the praise and glory for the thirteen church planters enrolled for the second batch of training that started February 4 and ending last week of April, 2019!  Please pray that each one of these trainees will be successful in planting healthy and reproducing churches.

​BIBLE GIVING TO CHURCHES

Praise God for the 2000 old and new testament Bibles given to over 60 churches throughout our province of Batangas in partnership with Bible League!  This coming Saturday, February 16, we will once again partner with Bible League Philippines in training over 100 children’s workers from several churches in our area on teaching children reading literacy using the Bible and Bible stories. 

BIBLE GIVING TO FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITY

​Praise God Calvary Chapel Talisay through the leadership of pastor Dan Aguilan was able to give out over 50 Bibles for free to the families in our community in the month of February!  Please pray that God will use these Bibles in the homes of these families to know Him and to give our church in Talisay an open door in sharing the gospel to these families.

AUDIO BIBLE CHALLENGE

God used Tim Stahl to create a One-Year Audio Bible on an SD card so our people could listen to the whole Bible offline on their smart phones!  A total of 26 from our two churches signed up for our Audio Bible Challenge to listen to both old and new testaments in 6 months!  We grouped these people into several small groups with a leader for each group and in so doing birthed our Discipleship Home Group ministry!

Several Sundays ago, our team went out into the neighboring village to show the “Jesus” film at the local basketball court. Over two hundred people came and more than sixtysouls received Christ! God truly works wonders doesn’t He?

Please pray for those new believers to be plugged into our church and continue to pray for our ministry!

Never underestimate the power of prayer.

Several weeks ago, God sent sixty prayer warriors to our Center. They were truly a sight to see! Never has a group of people prayed as intensely and as passionately as these warriors did. As they began to rise to their knees to worship, it was almost like God heard their pleas and a miracle happened. 

Immediately—almost instantaneously—rain began pouring down like never before and the sound rung in our ears like music. The presence of God was truly there that day. Several of those brethren approached me to say that they have never felt God’s presence as they did at our Center. Others testified that God spoke to them about our Center that it was a Lighthouse to the nations. Thank you Lord for sending your prayer warriors!

Several weeks ago, God allowed me, my son, Joe, and our friend Aaron to minister to the Mangyans—a rural tribe in the Mindoro jungle, along with a missionary couple and their two children. Together, we taught the Word of God to the Mangyan churches.

This trip to Mindoro was really a humbling one, and I believe that we were more blessed by the whole experience than the people we ministered to. As we were there, I learned that the typical Mangyan eats only one meal a day. One of the pastors even told me he saw a man eat a rat because of the lack of food! It saddened me to hear of their dismal situation and I couldn’t thank God enough for providing for me. We are praying that God would send someone with knowledge about livelihood projects and health care to help these people improve their standard of living as well as their spiritual well-being. It’s amazing what God can do in unreached places as we preached the Gospel and gave out food. We are praying that God will lead us to partner with our friend, Pastor Jonathan to minister to other unreached villages in Mindoro.

At present, there are ten students accepted for our three-month training program from September 17-December 14, 2018. We know God will fill in the remaining two spots to complete our set number of twelve for this program. The next batch of training will be from mid-February to mid-May, thus enabling us to train twenty-four church planters a year.

These students will begin their church planting project during the first week of training, as well as working full time as a church planter upon graduation. They will commit to planting daughter churches up to the fourth generation in line with the theme of II Timothy 2:2—the foundation of our whole ministry.

We have had an amazing opportunity to partner with Alpha Ministries, who have graciously offered to support all our graduates of half of their needed financial support for up to three years upon graduation. God has blessed this ministry immensely, but we still have a long ways to go. We still need support for the rest of the finances to complete the next three months of their training. We urge you to keep us in prayer during these next few months, and to consider financial support for the training of these church planters.
